Who we are
Runway is a personal budgeting tool that helps a single user understand how much of their income is still safe to spend in the current salary cycle. It is operated privately, for personal use.
What data we access
With your explicit consent, and only after you authenticate directly with your bank (Strong Customer Authentication under PSD2), we access — through the licensed Open Banking provider Enable Banking — your account details, balances, and transaction history for the accounts you choose to connect. We do not access your online banking credentials; those are entered only on your bank's own page.
Why we use it
This data is used solely to calculate your available budget, categorize your spending, and show your salary-cycle dashboard inside the app. It is never sold, rented, or used for advertising.
Legal basis
Processing is based on your explicit consent, granted through your bank's authorization flow. Consent is limited in time (typically up to 90 days) and can be renewed or withdrawn at any moment.
Storage and retention
Imported data is stored in the app's own private database for as long as you keep the account connected. You can disconnect a bank or delete your data at any time; disconnecting also asks the provider to revoke the underlying consent.
Sharing
We do not share your data with third parties. Bank data is retrieved on our behalf by Enable Banking, the regulated account-information provider, under their own terms and privacy policy.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you may withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@emadev.co.
